Medical Staff:  The medical staff is composed of various types of physicians. One or more physicians will follow your medical and rehabilitative needs. Upon discharge, your care will be resumed by your primary physician. For a complete list of medical staff physicians please see the About Us section of this website.

Nursing Staff:  The Nursing staff consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. The staff will provide nursing care 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Physical Therapy (PT): The Physical Therapy staff consists of Licensed Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Rehabilitation Therapy Techs. The Physical Therapist focuses on movement, balance, muscle tone, strength, joint flexibility, and the use of assistive devices. With physical therapy the patient will be evaluated for gross motor movements and strength in the lower extremities. Walking, transferring, wheelchair mobility, stairs (if able), and balance are the main activities the Physical Therapist will be testing and working on improving.

Occupational Therapy: The Occupational Therapy staff consists of Licensed Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Rehabilitation Therapy Techs. The OT focuses on those skills that relate to Activities of Daily Living (ADL): dressing, bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting, transfers, and the use of adaptive equipment in their evaluation. With Occupational Therapy, the patient will be evaluated for fine motor skills ability and upper body strength and movement.

Speech and Language Pathology (ST): Communication is one of the most important aspects of your daily life. Speech Therapists evaluate all patients that are admitted and will continue to see those who are in need of speech, cognition, memory, and feeding treatment and/or education. The Speech Therapist will help you with receptive and/or expressive language skills that may have been lost or affected by your accident or illness. The Speech Therapist also assists in identifying and treating swallowing disorders.

Respiratory Therapy: Our Respiratory Therapist and nursing staff work with your physician to help you overcome breathing difficulties.

Case Management: The Case Managers work with the team to assist you with your inpatient and discharge needs. They provide support and assist your family and others in your recovery process.

Dietician: The Dietician works with your physician to determine the appropriate dietary regime for you and provides nutritional education if needed.
